Adventures of Potty Training

Oh boy! I mean that literally. Boys are said to be the hardest to potty train, just my luck. I want to know some of your methods on potty training. I have tried just about everything I can think of; putting a cheerio in the toilet, rewarding for going in the toilet even putting him on it backwards. Christian (my 2 year old) doesn't have a problem going once he is on there it's remembering to go. It's like he forgets that he is not supposed to go in his underwear. He will tell us all day and then just randomly go in his underwear. What are some of your suggestions?

With that said, I have another question. What do you do if you are on the road and there is no where to stop so they can use a toilet? I found this one out today. We were on our way to the bank in good ole Kansas (where we live) and Christian says "Mommy I have to go potty." Uh.... I didn't know what to do. I rather him stand outside and pee then to pee in his booster seat. So I got him out of the car and told him to aim for the puddle. Not sure if the owners of the land would mind, being in Kansas probably not, but WOW what an experience. Please let me know some of your opinions or suggestions! Thanks!
